I’ve been friends with Cortney for quite a few years now, and have really enjoyed watching her beautiful family grow. I photographed her family back when there were only two little girls (and I was just starting out), again when sweet little Holly was a newborn, and now as they are welcoming baby Laura into their family. I always thought it would be so much fun to have a houseful of little girls!
This was a mini session of sorts, as Cortney really only wanted a few special images. This picture was priority number one, and I couldn’t be more thrilled with how it came out. Exactly as I had envisioned! How can you not love them!
She really just wanted a few of baby Laura alone, so I suppose I went a little overboard here. :) I’m thrilled to finally be finding my newborn style…loving the soft, creamy, organic colors and natural poses here. I think this is the path I’m going to continue along with my newborns. :) And the blonde hair? LOVE!
And I have a new rule if you hire me for newborn pics…I will (no exceptions allowed) include you (that would be YOU, MOM!) in a few images. You may not be feeling so much like having your picture taken right after giving birth, but I think that this is one of those times in a woman’s life where she is absolutely beyond stunning.
