{Las Vegas Portrait Photographer} The Valley of Fire Workshop

Meg Bitton and I had had this workshop planned for months – gorgeous models, jaw dropping scenery, and a lot of learning, friends, and fun.  We were a little worried about the weather to start things off.  It NEVER rains in Vegas, but it decided to get all dark and gloomy on us the day of our workshop.  As things would turn out, the dramatic skies and rain soaked red rocks made for some amazing photos.  Our models and attendees were real troopers and made a cool and chilly day into an amazing experience for everyone.  Thank you all SO much for a wonderful, successful workshop!  We hope to do it again next year and hope you can join us!

Here are a few of the images I captured during the workshop.  Enjoy! :)

Our awesome maternity models, despite a long and very cold day, braved downtown Fremont Street in old Vegas for us for some night photography.  I had never shot at night before using ambient city lighting, but it was so much fun and definitely a new and amazing experience!

Katia - I don’t know why – I’ve never had any real desire to travel. There are things I want to see, but never any BURNING desire, no travel bucket-list, or anything like that.

But that totally changed when I started following your photography. I MUST. SEE. THE. VALLEY. OF. FIRE!

You are so, so wonderful and such an inspiration!

{Las Vegas Senior Photographer} Autumn | Sweet Sixteen

Autumn and her family recently made the 8 hour trek from Sierra Vista, Arizona to the Valley of Fire just outside of Las Vegas for her ‘Sweet Sixteen’ shoot – we had such an amazing time!  Autumn is such a sweet, gorgeous girl and was flat out model material in front of the camera.  We got so many amazing shots!  It won’t be long at all and I’ll be doing her senior session.  I cannot wait!  Thank you so much Autumn and Chrisanne for a wonderful afternoon.  I had so much fun doing these for you!

Tom - Lisa, what an extraordinary series, of such a beautiful girl. Well done! I’m sure she (and her parents) are beyond thrilled with the results. Excellent work as always.

Kimberly Bourgeois - Your images are AMAZING!!!!!! Do you use a tripod? I am trying to get use to using one, but am having a hard time! LOL – it’s hard to switch! Love the clarity, dreamy quality, and absolute TALENT and SKILL you project through your photography!

Lisa Holloway - Thank you! No, I never use a tripod except in the rare times I’m shooting a landscape photo (and even then I rarely use one). I move around a lot and a tripod is really cumbersome and inhibits my shooting style. I have no patience for one.

Chrisanne Chartier - It goes without saying that I am extraordinarily pleased with these photos. Thank you so much Lisa! We loved our time with you.

{Las Vegas Maternity Photographer} Jenna

I was SO excited when Jenna contacted me to do her maternity session – what an honor!  I’ve been Facebook friends with Jenna for quite some time, but this was our first in person meeting.  We chose the Valley of Fire for her maternity session because honestly, you really can’t find a more amazing or other worldly back drop to showcase a beautiful pregnant belly.  We instantly hit it off with Jenna and her family and had a beautiful day and got some amazing images!  Jenna looked absolutely stunning!  Her baby’s tentative due date was in mid-March, and they are still waiting for their little one to arrive.  I just told her today that I’m stalking her Facebook page like a crazy lady.  I can’t wait to see pictures of her new baby!  Here are a few of my favorites from Jenna’s maternity session.  Jenna – it was SO wonderful meeting you and your family!  Best wishes for a speedy and healthy delivery! :)
