I had the chance to meet the lovely Miss Jillian and do her high school senior pictures…we had SO much fun! Jillian is getting ready to head off to college next fall and wants to pursue a career in the medical field. I have NO doubt she will be absolutely AMAZING at whatever she ends up doing. It was a pleasure meeting you Jillian! I had a blast doing these for you, and really hope you love them! Best of luck to you as you head off into the world! :)

I’m thanking my lucky stars we didn’t find any snakes at any of these locations. LOL! Isn’t she gorgeous?

Wonderful locations and really stunning images. I love how you use colour!

I’ve ‘known’ Elizabeth via Facebook for quite some time now…I followed her through the end of her pregnancy, and even supplied her with my infamous castor oil recipe to induce labor. I’ve watched her sweet baby girl, Lainey grow from a beautiful newborn to a sweet little girl in her pictures. I was so excited when she hired me to do Lainey’s one-year pictures! She is SUCH a doll and so full of personality! I had a blast working with you guys…you are such a sweet family! The love you all have for each other is so evident and I hope just a bit of that comes through in these images. :)

I think Miss Lainey is quite possibly one of the happiest babies I have ever photographed. Don’t believe me? Just check out these pics!

Thank you guys SO much for letting me do these for you! I hope I get to photograph you again as Lainey grows. <3

these are so very beautiful Lisa, so much joy and captured so perfectly.

It’s a bit past midnight right now and I’m having one of those frantic moments where I feel like I have too much to finish, and not enough time.  I know I need to get to bed soon, but I *had* to share the images I took of Danielle the other day.  I have been eyeing this location for a few years now, and this was my first quick peek inside.  It’s a photographer’s dream!  It was almost like a teaser though, as we were literally chasing the last few minutes of sunlight.  We did these on a school night, and got out there as quickly as we could (it’s a bit of a drive), but the sun only gave us about 10 minutes before she vanished behind the hills for the evening.  I’ll be going back again though and I can’t wait!  I have so many ideas and this place was just overflowing with gorgeous light and perfect little pockets to work in everywhere I looked.

If you haven’t seen the previous images I’ve done of Danielle, you can see them here, and here.  Danielle will also be being featured on TLC’s hit show Toddlers & Tiaras later this year…I can’t wait to see her!  She is SO much fun and I absolutely LOVE photographing her.  This isn’t the last you’ll see of this beauty on my blog…stay tuned for more!

I normally don’t have too much of a problem choosing between the color and b&w version of an image to post on my blog.  This time was an exception.  I absolutely love both of them and couldn’t pick one over the other.  What’s a girl to do but share them both?

The light…the beautiful light.  I’ll be back to this place for more…very soon.  As always, Danielle is amazing.  It’s hard to not go out photographing her and come back with nothing but pure gorgeousness. :)

And who doesn’t love a little before and after action? I love post-processing almost as much as I love shooting. And if you haven’t already heard, I’m now teaching post-processing webinars. You can read all about that right here on my blog. I hold absolutely nothing back in my classes…I’m an open book. I will show you exactly how I get from the before to the after, one step at a time. If you’d like to know more, feel free to email me.

Thank you SO much Tedi & Danielle for an amazing afternoon out! I always have a blast with you guys. I’m looking forward to the next outing already! :)

I wish I had the money to be a part of one of your post-processing classes, if only to learn how you get those perfect skin tones and porcelain skin!

Holey moley, these are gorgeous Lisa. I see why you had a hard time choosing between b&w and color, both are so lovely.

I had the pleasure of meeting Tyler, Brittney, and sweet baby Brinley the other day. Oh my gosh, she gave me some serious baby fever which I do NOT need! lol Brinley was the sweetest little thing with a head full of dark hair and perfect little rosebud lips. I’m SO happy with how these images came out. I’ve really been wanting to work on my newborns lately and she was so good for me!

It was a pleasure meeting you guys and your sweet new baby. I hope you love your pictures!

I’m totally digging soft pinks and creams for a baby girl. Soft, sweet, and simple…just perfect!

The eye contact I got from baby Brinley was just amazing. She’s only 8 days old here folks! These images melt my heart!

I love getting a few images with Mom and Dad. These will be precious treasures for your baby and your family. <3

And just because I *love* making collages, cards, and things of that nature, here’s a sweet spring birth announcement perfect for a baby girl born in April. I couldn’t resist!

These are so dreamy and wonderful! I love the peaceful feel to them and the awake shots are amazing!

This red dress has been in my family a LONG time. It belonged to my Grandmother; she wore it when she was in high school, which puts it at just about 70 years old (Grandma is doing great at 87 now). I’ve been itching to incorporate it in a session but had no one to wear it for me. Fast forward to Easter afternoon…it was a gorgeous day out so I called up my friend Amy and asked what she and her daughter Maya were up to (fully expecting some family related Easter business). Luckily for me, they were free and up for a drive and some pictures! I love this session. Like really love it. And now I want to find a photo of my Grandma in this dress, so it is on my to do list. And if I find one, you can bet I’ll come back and post it! They really don’t make dresses like this anymore…it has so much character. It goes without saying that Maya is absolutely stunning. You can see my session with Maya from about a year ago here.

Enough talking already…in with the pics! I hope you enjoy looking at these as much as I enjoyed taking them. :)

About a week ago, I had spotted a field of yellow and purple flowers. I had asked for opinions on what color I should dress a subject in to photograph them in in this field, and RED was a resoundingly popular choice. How could I resist stopping by here before heading in for the evening?

Thank you SO much Amy & Maya for being up for a little adventure and helping me do these. I hope you love them!

Some of you might remember the beautiful Miss Danielle from a session I shot earlier this year. Danielle has *also* starred on an episode of TLC’s Toddlers & Tiaras and will be featured on the show again later this year. She needed some new headshots for her agent, so her Mom called me up and asked if I could do them. We had to do them on an extremely cold and windy spring day so we didn’t have much time to work with, but I’m very happy with the images we got! Danielle has such a beautiful smile and is SO much fun to work with! I can’t wait to work with her again! This is just a quickie blog post, but I wanted to share my 2 favorites. Enjoy!
