We had so much fun yesterday! We drove up to Prescott and got to see my husband’s sister and her adorable daughter! I was so happy to meet them! Isabel is just a doll…I’ll let the photos speak for themselves.

In my typical over-doing-it ways, I did most of these in both color and black&white, and as usual, I can never decide which I prefer. So…I post them all. Sorry for the chronic overload!

This is just a snapshot, but I thought it was adorable. Isabel is trying to maintain the Mrs. Serious face for her photos, and little stinker Adrian ran up and started tickling her nose with flowers. Too funny!

And a hug…

No real theme to these, just some recent shots I wanted to put up!

We spent the past weekend camping in the Arizona strip. I still have several more to work on but they keep getting put on the back burner. It is a stunningly beautiful area…can’t wait to go back again!

We had just spotted a flock of wild turkeys in this spot…Adrian wanted to check it out. Of course, they were long gone by the time he made his appearance. lol

There were wild flowers everywhere. Loved these purple lupine (yes, someone had to tell me what they were…I am definitely not up to date on my horticulture).

Miss Millie *loved* being in the hiking pack! She’s such a little peanut that all you can see of her is her nose and big inquisitive eyes peeking up over the edge.

Moving along…here is another set I’m working on now. I’ve always got my eyes peeled for great new spots to shoot in, and found this one the other day! Miss Millie is the (not so willing) model.

I caught a little bit of sun flare here! Love it!

And the black and white, because…I like ‘em both.

I decided to bring along my less than willing subjects this time. I was up for a little challenge I guess! Plus, I don’t want people to start thinking I only have 2 children. hehe Anyways, some bumpy dirt roads and a little bit of 4 wheel driving later, we found some super neat spots! I can’t wait to take people here!

Mr. Damien striking a pose (I think they just liked playing in the water)…

Color…

…or b&w?

A close up! And a little bit of texture…

Theron even got in on the action! Isn’t this old cattle shoot cool? Who would have thought it would make for a nice picture!

The mischievousness practically leaps off the page at you! haha

Adrian came along for the ride too…not sure how much fun he had with the picture taking part though!

Check out the bullet holes in this thing! It’s an old miner’s shack we found…cool stuff!

Part 2…Calista the Little Forest Princess! Ha! I doubt she’d like that title.

We have been itching to get out of town, so we packed the kiddos up today and took a drive up to Williams. Cooler air, beautiful forests…just all around gorgeous! The kids could run and play and get dirty…they were so tired when we got home. I couldnt resist bringing my camera along for the ride (it’s kind of like my 2nd husband…HA!), and doing some nature shots with Millie, which is what I truly love to do.

I got some of my favorite shots ever today. This is only my 1st edit. There will be a lot more where this came from, as I work my way through them.

I call this ‘My Little Wood Sprite’…hehe

And a dramatic ‘serious Miss Millie’ close up. I *love* doing these in b&w…totally fits the mood I think.

Why do I do this?

I was working on my website today and realized my newborn gallery needed a little facelift. On a whim, I opened up my ‘June08′ folder and started digging through old, forgotten, unedited files I had stashed there, only to forget. I was amazed at what I found…

Time passes so fast…don’t forget these moments…
