I had the chance to meet the lovely Miss Jillian and do her high school senior pictures…we had SO much fun! Jillian is getting ready to head off to college next fall and wants to pursue a career in the medical field. I have NO doubt she will be absolutely AMAZING at whatever she ends up doing. It was a pleasure meeting you Jillian! I had a blast doing these for you, and really hope you love them! Best of luck to you as you head off into the world! :)

I’m thanking my lucky stars we didn’t find any snakes at any of these locations. LOL! Isn’t she gorgeous?

This red dress has been in my family a LONG time. It belonged to my Grandmother; she wore it when she was in high school, which puts it at just about 70 years old (Grandma is doing great at 87 now). I’ve been itching to incorporate it in a session but had no one to wear it for me. Fast forward to Easter afternoon…it was a gorgeous day out so I called up my friend Amy and asked what she and her daughter Maya were up to (fully expecting some family related Easter business). Luckily for me, they were free and up for a drive and some pictures! I love this session. Like really love it. And now I want to find a photo of my Grandma in this dress, so it is on my to do list. And if I find one, you can bet I’ll come back and post it! They really don’t make dresses like this anymore…it has so much character. It goes without saying that Maya is absolutely stunning. You can see my session with Maya from about a year ago here.

Enough talking already…in with the pics! I hope you enjoy looking at these as much as I enjoyed taking them. :)

About a week ago, I had spotted a field of yellow and purple flowers. I had asked for opinions on what color I should dress a subject in to photograph them in in this field, and RED was a resoundingly popular choice. How could I resist stopping by here before heading in for the evening?

Thank you SO much Amy & Maya for being up for a little adventure and helping me do these. I hope you love them!

I had the pleasure of meeting the lovely Miss Savanna a few weeks ago to shoot her high school senior pictures. Her (and her whole family) were so much fun! Her session actually took place over 2 separate days as the original day of our session was plagued by 60mph winds. One of the downsides of living in the desert! Despite the disagreeable weather, I LOOOOVE her session and think we came away with some amazing images to commemorate this important time in her life.

It was absolutely wonderful meeting you, Savanna…you are a truly beautiful girl, inside and out. If that weren’t enough, Savanna has brains too…you know folks, that’s a rare combo…beauty, a genuinely kind and sweet personality, and brains. She is graduating 2nd in her class and I think that is pretty darn impressive. Have fun in college Savanna…I just *know* you will rock whatever you choose to do in life!

We found little hints of spring, despite the crazy wind…

Wind or no wind, Arizona really has some AMAZING light. Toss a beautiful girl into the mix and you’re bound to get some gorgeous shots!

We even added a little bit of urban flair to her session…

And even though I don’t typically down ‘cap and gown’ style shots often, I think Savanna earned this one. And shhh…don’t tell anyone, but I actually kind of love it. <3

I had SO much fun working with you, Savanna! I wish you the absolute best with everything that comes your way in the future. :)

Ashlyn contacted me to do her senior portraits, and I am so happy that she did! She is a beautiful girl, inside and out, and we had SO much fun doing these! Despite the good old Kingman wind kicking up around 50mph the day of her session, she was an amazing trooper. Seriously, we were both freezing, but you wouldn’t know it at all to look at these pictures. I LOVE how they came out! Ashlyn, I truly hope you love these as much as I do. I am so happy to have met you; you are an amazing young lady!

You can’t help but feel warm and cozy with these warm colors! In reality, it was about 50 degrees and the wind was trying to blow us out of Mohave County. LOL

I loved all of her fun outfits and hats!

This particular location was the epitome of freezing…the wind was blowing at hurricane speed (I kid you not) and we were both ready for a warm car and a cup of hot cocoa. I think Ashlyn might very well have a successful career as an actress because you would NOT know it looking at these pictures. I think I was shivering more than she was and I had a warm sweater on!

I met up with Juleigh on Saturday to shoot her senior pictures…we had so much fun!  Juleigh comes from a big family too so I felt an instant connection with her. Juleigh, I’m sure you will be AMAZING at whatever path you end up taking in life.  I had so much fun doing these for you, and truly hope you love them as much as I do!  You are GORGEOUS!

I lost track of how many places we shot at, but we found some amazing new locations and had an awesome time!  Sorry for dragging you through the sticks but I know it was worth it for these pictures!

Is she not gorgeous? Look at those eyes!

I love these. LOVE them.

My niece, Alyssa is an amazing girl! She is great at sports, loves hunting and the outdoors, loves her family and friends, and wants to be a dentist. She skipped a grade and is graduating at the young age of 16…she’s the kind of daughter any parent would be proud to have. We love you, Alyssa and are so proud of you! You are truly beautiful, inside and out. :)

Doesn’t she bear a striking resemblance to Kristen Stewart in this picture? I knew she looked like someone int his shot but it wasn’t until I started getting all the ‘KSTEW!’ comments on my Facebook page that it clicked – Bella!

Alyssa is definitely an outdoorsy girl, so I did all of her pictures in more woodsy, natural looking locations…

I had to get a Mom & Daughter shot! Don’t they look like sisters?

SO pretty!
