What can I say about this beautiful family…they were my first ‘stranger’ session 4 years ago when I photographed Lucienne at 5 weeks old. Yes, we both thought 5 weeks was the perfect time for a newborn session back then…live and learn! hehe {For those of you wanting to book a newborn session, PLEASE contact me while you are still pregnant…ahem…} I remember being so nervous the week leading up to the session. I studied lighting like a mad woman, tested out my props and blankets, and did everything I could to prepare. The day came, and honestly, all of my stress and apprehension was put to rest when I met Ronne and Dino. They are the most laid back, wonderful couple you could possibly meet. They have since become friends, despite moving 4 hours away to Gilbert, and we keep in touch on a regular basis.
I had lengthy conversations with Ronne during their long journey to baby Nohl joining their family. When Ronne discovered she was expecting, it was like I had just found out I was pregnant myself…I was SO thrilled for them! There really isn’t a more deserving family out there. I enjoyed hearing about her pregnancy as it progressed, and did her maternity photos in the snow near Flagstaff this winter. When baby Nohl finally arrived, I couldn’t wait to get down to their home to photograph their growing family in their own element. It was a 4 hour drive, but I would do it 100 times again. And you photogs out there who are leery of doing an ‘older’ newborn? Don’t be! It’s such a fun age! They are starting to chunk up and their little personalities are starting to emerge. It really is a magical time to document a growing family.
Ronne, Dino, and Lucienne, I am BEYOND thrilled for you guys. You are a wonderful family and the love you guys share has been so fun to document over the years. I can’t wait to do Nohl’s 6 month pictures and see you all again. I seriously love these images, and hope you do too. :)
