I get TONS of questions asking what camera body and lenses I use, so I thought I’d create this page to answer those questions. Here is a list of equipment that I currently shoot with:
50mm 1.0L
Of these lenses, the 200mm 2.0L is my favorite and most often used lens. I also realize that I have three separate 50mm lenses, and I am sure you might be wondering which one I’d recommend. Right now, the gold star goes to the Sigma 50mm 1.4 Art Lens for several reasons – tack sharp focus, amazing color and clarity, and a reasonable price tag. I have been very pleasantly surprised by it! I picked up the 50mm 1.0L (a discontinued Canon lens) second hand as more of a ‘fun’ lens when I want to play around with a different look. I hope this helps to clarify things a bit!
Reflector: Lite Disc 52″ round reflector (white on one side, silver on the other)
Speedlight: Canon 580EX II
Remote Triggers: Pocket Wizard Plus 2 Transceivers
Aside from the very rare OCF (off camera flash) shot, I work exclusively with natural light, and rarely use my reflector in my work. All of my post processing is done in Lightroom 5 and Photoshop CS6. I offer videos of previous online post processing classes for sale HERE.
Thank you for visiting my website, and I hope that this answers some of your questions! Please remember though, it is not the equipment that makes the photograph, but the photographer behind that equipment. Happy shooting! 🙂
