Our family absolutely loves taking road trips. We purchased a cabin at the base of the Rockies in Northwestern Montana this summer after falling in love with the area last year. It is stunningly beautiful! Snow-capped mountain peaks, lakes and rivers nestled in the pristine forests, wildlife, fishing, camping, Glacier National Park – I could go on and on. As a Las Vegas Child Photographer, I love my deserts and wildflowers, but it is also so much fun to get out of town and experience new scenery when we get the chance. One of our side trips this summer was to the ghost town of Bannack. The history of the old west has always fascinated me. I love to visit ghost towns and try to imagine what life was like back in those days. This ghost town was so well preserved and allowed for great access to all of the remaining structures. I cannot wait to go back! I couldn’t resist a little shoot with Octavia, and just so happened to have a period looking dress on board our motor home for her to wear. We had so much fun and even experienced what I believe to be a real ghost while we were there. What an amazing location and trip! I hope you enjoy the photos – I have to say, little Octavia is a fabulous actress! We were going for an eerie, haunting look and she nailed it!
